Molotov Späti
mixed media (installed in wall), 2026

The spatial installation Molotov Späti represents an ongoing research in Nellie Lindquist’s practice into of images of political affect. The photographic images in Molotov Späti originates from LED-lit interior decorations of a riot themed kiosk and bar in Berlin, with the name ‘Molotov Späti’. In the installation, dimly lit blue toned glass has been inserted in a new wall built in the space, both projecting the image of the print and partly exposing the space created within the temporary wall. Behind the glass, three dioramas, faintly glowing to resemble that of a screen late at night, create a cinematic sequence, illuminated from within the wall. Almost indiscernible, they depict the silhouette of a bar chair and images replicated from the bar’s wall decorations of rioters running away from riot fires from riots in the 2000’s.

Moltov Späti was exhibited in Inhabitor at Comb, Copenhagen in 2026.
